Complex or uncommon medical or surgical problems may warrant further tests.
Test results are valid for 6 months provided there has been no interim change in the patient’s condition.

In general describes superficial or minimally invasive surgery that does not involve major organs or major fluid shifts.
Examples:
Metabolic equivalants (METS) is a measure of exercise tolerance in terms of cardiorespiratory function.
MSK problems such as hip and knee pain may confound interpretation.
How would the patient have functioned had there been no hip or knee pain?
Cardiac Dx - IHD, CHF, Valvular Heart Dx, Arrhythmia.
Renal Dx - Gross proteinuria or elevated Cr
Liver Dx - Jaundice, Hepatitis, cirrhosis, hepatic metastases, alacoholism
High Risk malnutrition - BMI<19,unintentional weight loss>10% in last 6/12
Inflammatory bowel dx or GI malignancy (oral, gut, pancreas)
High risk Anemia - hx of anemia, bleeding from GI, GU tract, Inflammatory bowel Dx or Connective tissue dx
High Risk Iron Defficiency - low Hb with low MCV or high RDW on CBC
